I’m going to dive into what problems designers, developers and users face while working with WordPress. I’m going to list down articles/videos related with any specific topic and share the notes here. I’ll push the resource links to my GitHub Repo for your reference.

  1. Syntax Error:
    This error happens when the end-user tries to add a new PHP code into the existing theme or plugin. This can be easily fixed from the error message.

  2. Error establishing a database connection:
    check DB user, DB table, user permission in wp-config.php and we can also enable define('WP_ALLOW_REPAIR', true); in wp-config.php file and load wp-admin/maint/repair.php to repair the database.
    If hosting and database are in different hosts, the database may be down. We can easily check it by mysqli_connect.

  3. Posts return 404 Error:
    It’s just permalink error. Choose your desired permalink structure and save the setting. Even after this, the problem exists, try changing .htaccess manually via Cpanel or FTP.

  4. Broken Structure:
    When non coder tries to code, this may happen. So, before adding new custom HTML codes, you must validate them through http://validator.w3.org/

  5. Exhausted memory size:
    Just need to increase the memory size in wp-config.php.
    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );

  6. 403 Forbidden:
    Try deactivate all plugins and activate one by one to find out the culprit.
    Try deleting .htaccess file.
    Try changing File Permission.

    Thats all for Day 1. Gonna find some interesting issue tomorrow, in sha Allah.
