For 5+ years I have sat with students over a screen — a young child sounding out her first letters, a teenager rebuilding habits picked up too quickly, an adult returning to what she set aside years ago — and watched the same thing happen every time: the recitation stops being a task and becomes a conversation.
My work is the small things. Where the tongue actually touches. Which breath a verse wants. Why a rule that looked impossible last week is suddenly obvious. I carry an ijaazah in the narration of Hafs ‘an ‘Asim, and I am still a student myself — Ijaazah studies at QnQ Academy, Arabic at Nurul Quran — because a teacher who has stopped learning has little left to give.
